Not everthing goes to plan when coding, and especially when coming up with a whole new way of having characters move / rotate and interact.
In the original PlaySets characters would be one drawing, so Jinx facing forward, Left and Right, and Back. In the New PlaySets they are made up of body parts, so for Jinx and Minx, Two feet, Two Arms, A Belly, Ears, Head and Face, they are then pinned together so it seems like one image.
The trouble can come when I have to re-position those pieces and change the pictures of them to make it look like the character is sitting (move feet infront of belly, and change frames to look like sitting feet etc) for example, and the charactes have stand / sit / lie poses combined with facing front back left and right @_@
When not coded right it can lead to some pretty silly results, as you see in this video!
But the reason I'm making it this way is to be able to add props more easily in the future,
I can set up the hand poses for all the different character poses and directions and then just put the prop behind the hand and it'll work :D
..That's the plan anyway and I know how much you guys wanted the props to come back and I'm trying to get them back and better than ever!
Hahahah! "looking casual there Jinx"
dont you hate when you just wanna lie down and suddenly you're breaking the laws of physics and anatomy?
derp
i cant wait to see it in the game :)
